Most kids notice changes in their primary symptoms within 5 to 10 sessions. It’s important, however, to understand that neuroplastic (permanent) changes are shown to occur after 20 to 30 visits. Even though your child might be feeling better after, say, 7 visits, we advise you to ensure your child completes their entire program to achieve lasting results.
Short answer: Yes.
Long answer: Once your child’s brain learns how and when to produce a certain brain wave, that ability becomes embedded as a new, permanent circuit. This process is known as neuroplasticity.
The typical child usually requires 30 Brain Training sessions to ensure permanent neuroplastic changes.
Our Functional Neuro Program™ has been shown to help with:
The Functional Neuro Program™ can also be used to help achieve peak performance in many areas of life. For example, athletes, students, musicians, doctors and business owners alike use Brain Training to improve their mental clarity and physical capacity. NASA uses it, and so do US Olympic athletes.
We start with a comprehensive assessment that includes looking at how your child's brain is processing information from their body. The assessment also and includes a qEEG (quantitative electroencephalogram) brain map.
From there we'll lay out the options available to you, and we’ll often make recommendations. Our goal is to get you the answers you'll need to get started on the best path for your child.
We put you in the driver’s seat when it comes to making decisions regarding that best course of action. This assessment provides you with the information you’ll need.
Neurofeedback is just one of over 20 different neuro therapies/modalities that we use to createpersonalize care plans after the Functional Neuro Assessment™. It is very useful, but sometimes it is not the most relevant or most effective component of an individualized Neuro Program.
We find that neurofeedback is most effective when combined with modalities that help address the root causes of the brain's dys (i.e., why it’s out of balance in the first place).
Depending on what’s going on with a child and what the initial testing shows, we can propose modalities most suited to address their situation. We will often include 4, 5 or 6 modalities in a single session, including neurofeedback.
Medication does not hinder the effectiveness of our comprehensive Functional Neuro Assessment™ and Functional Neuro Program™.
All of the modalities that we use are non-invasive and fun to do.
