Traditional approaches often treat only the symptoms, and sometimes it can feel like you are simply throwing darts and hoping one of them will stick and help you feel better.
This is often ineffective, though, because symptoms don’t tell the whole story.
For example, there are often multiple root causes that can lead to anxiety, and many reasons someone might be experiencing ADHD. This same pattern exists with most nervous system challenges.
At Sensorium Neuro Wellness we identify the root cause and create a targeted roadmap so you can break free of your symptoms. No more guesswork, no more labels. Instead, we offer Real Solutions for Real Change
Two Steps Up Program
The mission of Two Steps up is to empower individuals by fostering purposeful growth, ensuring accessibility and inclusivity, and driving innovation and research.
We are committed to making advanced neural interfacing, bio neurofeedback and innovative nervous system health solutions accessible to all, including social organizations and underserved communities.

How our Sensorium Model, Assessment, and Interventions are different
Imagine the Brain and Nervous System as a complex and interconnected network of pathways, like a superhighway. The Brain collects sensory information from all over our body. It's like a sophisticated data center, processing everything from touch and temperature to emotions and reflexes.
The sensory system delivers information to the brain via various pathways. If there is too much information, or not enough, then the brain won’t accurately know if the body is safe, and will, therefore, often use coping mechanisms that present as a wide variety of symptoms, including anxiety, depression, ADHD, and ODD.
Our Functional Neuro Assessment ™ starts with assessing all the ways the body is collecting information from the environment including looking at balance, primitive reflexes, vestibular and proprioceptive function, autonomic nervous system function (including sympathetic and parasympathetic aspects of the vagus nerves) timing components of brain structures, and oculomotor capabilities.
We have found that there is very rarely anything “wrong” or broken. Our model focuses on making meaningful shifts at the source, which allows the brain and body to get the stimulation they need to feel safe from activities that should feel connecting and rewarding. This leads to our clients feeling they are themselves again and can tackle anything life throws their way.

How is the Sensorium Model different from other solutions out there?
Traditional Talk Therapy
Doesn't include a comprehensive approach to the brain, body and nervous system.
Often relies on a generalized approach.
In some cases it is possible without assessing the brain, body and the nervous system.
Often includes medication.
Often relies on a generalized plan.
Traditional Neuro Feedback
Focuses solely on the brain.
Can involve personalized care plan, but only based on the brain.
In some cases it is possible without assessing the body and the nervous system.
A non-invasive method without medication.
A comprehensive plan addressing the root-causes, but only for the brain.

Our Model for Nervous System Health
1. Primitive Reflexes
These reflexes are present in early neurodevelopment to help ensure that basic needs are met in infancy. They are also responsible for helping to build the foundations of the brain and the nervous system and, therefore, can be used in assessing the neurodevelopmental state of an individual.
2. Core Stability/Tone
Creates consistent input to the brain, which helps maintain a stable and accurate frame of reference for our experience of the world. If the brain isn’t receiving these signals properly, it will feel unsafe, and it will often compensate, triggering unhealthy behaviors or thought processes.
3. Brain Timing
The thalamus controls brain timing, which is needed to feel a sense of connection with the body, others, and the pace of life. If the timing is off or the brain isn’t getting the sense of connection our mind often compensates with stimulus and dopamine seeking behaviors in order to attempt to feel this connection.
4. Nervous System Resilience
"Fight, Flight or Freeze” comes from a dysregulated Autonomic Nervous System. This system includes the Vagus Nerves, and is responsible for keeping us relaxed and feeling safe. This can lead to constantly feeling stressed and anxious and can result in burnout and depression.
5. Sensory Integration
The vestibular and proprioceptive systems send information to the brain about the body’s motion and balance. Dysregulation in these systems can lead to oppositional defiance, chaos creation, rumination, and other unhealthy patterns.
6. Eye Tracking
Eye movement fluidity and efficiency are direct reflections of cerebellar and brain function. If this aspect of the neurology is dysregulated it can lead to emotional dysregulation and inefficiencies in information processing.
7. A Balanced Brain
A well-balanced brain processes information efficiently, allowing for emotional regulation and safety, fostering connection and meaningful relationships.
